I got these DVDs and hope some more come out soon.
I liked the first one the most as it covers a range of different compositions.
The second DVD is one complete scene, brilliant but one for the technical side of getting your painting to look hyper-real, like a photo.
I prefer the painterly stuff myself.
But then I paint for a hobby and make models for a living.
Keep in mind that the footage is slowed down to let mortals see a glimpse of the flash of light that is Dusso's creative process.

Theres also a couple of titles by Christian Lorenz Scheurer in the coming soon section of Gnomon which should be relevant as well. Also Dylan Cole has been asking for ideas from this site for his forthcoming DVD(s?) so there should be some really good material available in the near future. I think its great that these professionals share their knowledge with the community. That also extends to this site as well which has a heavy presence by a lot of top professional artists. All the more impressive since the site is relatively young. I for one am very grateful for their input.

Actually the footage is sped up. I can't remember exactly, but something like 175%. He mentions it in the DVD.

Yeah the footage is sped up, I was just making a joke so that the people who first saw it cry.
