Give a monkey photoshop CS4 a HD cam, Zbrush / Vue and the latest greatest computer on earth and you get lots of the showreels I've seen over the years. Horrendous unbalanced attempts at emulating...

Jumping in

I have used lots of other peoples brushes, but over time i have deleted all but a few of them and replaced them with my own. I think its really important in understanding photoshop and your wacom pen...

I think it would be nicer, if you turned the building to make it look more dynamic, and make it a little smaller in the woods.
Looks a bit big to me with very open plain faces - making the scale...

hmmm

Yes, when you put the two together the original photograph shines out as being amazing.
Making your matte look quite badly composed and lit in a confusing daytime and evening light - both at the...

I'm chasing something in my head that I can never realise.
I think I should just start something new and stick this thing...

Hmm, seeming as the first thing I did was disable all the buttons on my Intuos 3 - I'm not sold.
I've worked at home on the Intuos 2 for a long time, and that was more useful to me.

Just my...

Show us some more, as it stands this image is a little flat. It looks like it just has a midground and a background, with nothing linking the two and a very flat composition.
You also have two huge...

Image

Nice image, but looks over saturated on my screen.
I'd darken the left side of the image and remove the blue sky, replacing it with the gray orange colour.

Give it a try - it might look more...

Dusso Update

Dusso has updated his website with the new Indiana Jones film, and Eragon.

Plus some other far too ridiculously good bits of work.

One day I'll be that good - must keep...

Awesome

That is really good work.

Did you colour pick from the original photo as the colours seem spot on for the lighting.
It's useful for remembering what colour range to pick from in future paintings....

Finding the middle

I noticed many of the windows of the castles are not correctly in perspective.
They have been eyeballed in. Sometimes it is because you think there should be equal distances between objects even...

Cheers for the reply - my 21.3 inch Cintiq is on its way!
At a much higher price than if I lived in the US!

Cintiq

Does anyone who has the cintiq have one next to a CRT.
What are the colours like on the Cintiq - I've never thought of getting one, but I could.
Maybe I should, it might be more entertaining than...

Looks amazing, although the castle is lit strongly from the front, but the sun is behind it on the left.
Perhaps a bit too saturated too (colour wise) - reminds me of a disney illustration of a...

Light

The light on the right hand side is casting light in all directions, even up and over the tiles through material.
It should be casting some shadow above itself as it has a metal top.
