Purpose of the role:

The Tech Op will report to the Senior Tech Op’s on their assigned shift. The Tech Op will have gained a good level of production operations experience and will have a genuine interest in the technical aspects of high end post production and a passion for being part of a team delivering award winning Moving Pictures to the Advertising industry. The Tech Op will enjoy working with the latest hardware and software technology in a demanding, changing environment on a diverse range of client projects.

The Technical Operators will have a good overview and working knowledge of all areas with specialist knowledge in one area:

VFX Operations
VT Operations
Data Operations
Render Operations
Network Operations
Library Operations

Longer term a good working knowledge will extend to the following areas:

TK/Grading Operations
Projection Room Operations
Datalab Operations

The Tech Op’s will work as part of a team with responsibility for supporting internal customers and team members.

Key Skills

Good working knowledge of hardware systems such as VTR’s, TK’s, Scanners, DDR’s

Good working knowledge of software systems such as Flame/Smoke, Content Agent, FCP, Avid, MPC Tools

An understanding and knowledge of Broadcast and Delivery standards and supporting documentation

Knowledge of the Measurement and Analysis of moving images

Understanding and knowledge of scheduling and job sheet processes

Excellent client / customer service skills
