Default Pavel Cucka Matte Painting Reel 2011 - 10-12-2011, 02:01 PM

Hello everyone!
It has been some time since I last sent new works here. To make up for that I've got all new demo reel showcasing selected works that I did throughout my career.

Click below to watch!

Make sure to visit my website www.pavelcucka.com as there are many new works in the matte painting gallery.

Thanks for viewing. Best regards,
Pavel

that was sweet, I love that shot where the camera zooms out to reveal the bridge the lady is standing on
How are the work opportunities for you, if you don't mind me asking? Are you able to find work with ease or do you find yourself knocking on million doors a day?

Please, please lose the irritating timewarp / glow effects! They just detract from the actual shots, which is what the reel is about, and make it look like you a trying to cover up some of the work you've done.

I really like the desert / green landscape reveal - they are by far the strongest shots on the reel. What show was this done for?

Hey guys, thanks for the comments!

@ArtunG: Work opportunities are quite good. I find they tend to come in waves. There are times when there's more work than I can handle at the time. Then obviously as some of the projects get finished, there's less work, but since my main focus right now is university studies (architecture) I am grateful for every spare time I can get.

I don't really go knocking on any doors unless I'm looking for full-time studio position.

@Alex: You may have a point there. I did those effects on purpose, but they just may be too overpowering. You've certainly got me thinking about it.

The desert shots I did at Prime Focus London on summer 2010, they were for this documentary "Seven Ages of Qatar". Glad you like them.

Thanks,

- Pavel
