hmm, i really like what you did, but one thing ... the detail of the ship is not matching the details of the water. it looks placed into the footage and thats it. you know what i mean? the ship looks clean and sharp, the water and the mountains on the left side looks "blurry" and with much lower contrast ...

thank you ...
Its be couse of the distance and the depth ... the ship is nearer than them .
and for the water , you right when we want see the detail... but when we see the whole image , I think it seems right couse there we cant see the details of the ship ...
let me think more about it ... :D

I think it's time to move on and take what you've learnt. This is a nice piece, but I imagine you're ready to start a new project.

best

j :)

Default Very LOTR - 11-28-2006, 02:49 AM

this is very LOTR, and that's a compliment ;) Really quite splendid. My only complaint is the varying lighting that happens as you go up the right-hand slope... my eyes are split 50-50 on whether that's accurate shadows or a lighting error.

But otherwise, great stuff!

If you look at the right-hand "slope", there's a fuzzy edge to the light. The hill is a bit grey, and then it's a lot darker all of the sudden. It might be just "mist" or your atmosphere in the piece, but it's a little abrupt and might stand some feathering out. See below for what I mean.
