Default Hudson River School in Germany - 07-27-2007, 04:59 AM

Hello everybody,
currently there is an exhibition in the "Staatsgalerie"
in Stuttgart(Germany) with original Paintings from
Thomas Cole
Frederic Edwin Church
Thomas Chambers
Albert Bierstadt
and some others great Painters from the Hudson River School!
A "must see" for every Mattepainter!

Wow! I'd love to see that. Anyone recommend any good books for hudson river school - lots of pics - need some inspiration. : )

Ironically one of the painters is called 'Thomas Cole '...
There's a couple of book s on Amazon. Let me know if anyone has an opinion on them as I'm also looking to buy one.

I have a few books on these guys...

one of my favorites is called "American Sublime"

I also have the "Frederic Church" by John K. Howat. Like that alot too.

might concider it...
