Well it's been a long while since I posted anything here. Been extremely busy with a indie film project where I was in charge of almost every technical aspect of production. Now that its finally done and delivered to our distributor I get come back to matte painting for a while. In my research of new techniques and such I found this, Project Photofly from Autodesk.

For people looking to get into matte painting with 3d projections this looks like a fantastic way to generate very detailed models for projection for use in any 3d app. Most of us have decent cameras already and it only requires a point and shoot. Now if they only had a mac version.... oh well hope this helps.
