Default Digital Matte Painting - Lampisia - 03-17-2013, 12:17 AM

Lampisia is a 3D Matte Painting of a beautiful ancient city built on water.
I spent quite some time designing every detail and trying to make the architecture charming and refined, mixing elements from Gothic, Islamic and the Venetian architecture. I modeled and textured everything in Maya and I lit and rendered the scene in Vray. I finalized the image in Photoshop.

Wonderful.

Fantasy destination. Looks established too. I like the round decks going out over the water. Towers draw you on. Fun. I have to agree. A lot to figure with the architecture.

Very nice, Francesco! The architectural modeling is superb - great detail and a really nice, coherent 'feel' to it. Good twilight aerial perspective.
